That sounds simple but one doesn’t need to go to a library and research for books on certain topic to dig some precious gold advices and examples. Examples are everywhere.
Yesterday I’ve decided to prepare a cup of hot chocolate as I like sometimes to do. For this I have to visit our office lunch-room where magic machine that knows how to do this magic stays. And it is really marvelous: you put coins into it, then you push the “Chocolate” button and it goes. If all our sites UI was such a simple and efficient we’ll have the hell lot of money and hell lot of fanatic customers.
I’ve never thoght befor if that machine is such simple inside as it is on the panel… When I came into the lunch-room the machine was open and a young guy was performing a kind of daily service. He got out all the coins, put in new coffee, sugar, milk, and everything. I decided to stay there and contemplate the process. It took some 15 minutes, few dozens of actions for that guy, actions that he performed very quickly and automatically. That was the example of the GOOD MAINTENANCE when everything is planned, known, and sequenced.
Then he logged something in his notebook, verified if everything works good and went away. Off course the chocolate was tasty
