On my way to the office today I was thinking about the differences between science and business.
When I was a student at my M&M faculty in the university there were moments when I planned to live in a science world, to be inside all those things, lectures, books, students, unresolved problems and emerging theories. And that was wonderful, it made my brain to work and filled my life with something more then just living. There was a goal.
Now a business. I wouldn’t say it is something boring or bad… or less dynamic. I think it is much more dynamic then the science, just in other dimension.
Do we have a place for science in our business? Do we have time for all those subtle concepts like equilibrium and optimum? Those ideas exist in books and in minds but they really have no chance to take place in the business world. There are no equilibrium and no optimum. Until you want them to be.
Even though science is quite isolated from the daily world it penetrates it in each single thing you can take into your arms or catch with your eye. There is one beautiful thing all around the science: you can be sitting still, without any movement, with your eyes closed and at the same moment in your head a theory of dynamic movement and collisions can be in a construction process.
I believe that there is a way to find a key to a door which opens the balanced environment where you can enjoy both science and business, precise mechanics of your mind and natural dynamic of your actions. The key should be somewhere near me
